🎫 Tickets & Booking

After buying online, what do I do?
Keep your receipt (digital or printed) and note the event date and time. On the day, show your receipt at the ticket office — staff will verify it and arrange your activities. That's it.
How far in advance should I book?
Online booking has no deadline — same-day booking on the session day is fine (until full). Craft workshops (cha kwo, traditional salted fish) need ingredients prepared, so book at least 2 days ahead. Last minute? Just WhatsApp us — if there's space we'll fit you in.
What payment methods can I use?
Book online and pay directly in the cart (credit card via the secure Stripe payment page; multi-item orders get one combined payment link after our ticket office confirms). At the ticket office we take cash, Alipay, WeChat Pay and Octopus; credit cards accepted for totals over $200. Some small shops on the island are cash-only — carrying a little cash helps.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Once booked, tickets cannot be cancelled, refunded or transferred. However, if a No. 3 or stronger typhoon signal or Red/Black rainstorm warning is in force (measured 3 hours before assembly time), activities are automatically cancelled and affected guests may rebook free of charge or choose other activities — you never lose out to the weather.
Which ticket suits a family?
Adults: the Free Explore Ticket (adult $90 / concession $70) = admission + return shuttle boat + hook-free fishing. Best value for families is the Free Explore Value Combo (adult $138 / child & senior $118) — it adds 5 game cards + 1 local snack, enough for most of a day.
What are game cards for?
Game cards are $10 each — vouchers for on-site activities: fishing, feeding the big fish, kites, DIY crafts, cotton candy and more. Buy on the day or on arrival; pre-orders and group pre-orders sometimes get discounts — ask us.
What is the combo's "one local snack"?
A simple village snack such as iced pineapple, fish balls or siumai (subject to daily availability). Note: Shrimp Crisp is not included — you can add it on arrival or pre-order from the souvenir page.

⛴️ Getting Here

Which ferries go to the Village?
Three public routes + one private boat: from Central Pier 4, take the HK & Kowloon Ferry direct to Sok Kwu Wan; from Aberdeen Promenade Pier, take Tsui Wah Ferry (via Mo Tat Wan); Rainbow Seafood Restaurant guests may take the Rainbow private boat from Central Pier 9 or Tsim Sha Tsui Kowloon Public Pier No. 5 (Rainbow guests only, book ahead). The crossing takes 35–40 minutes; check each ferry company's website for timetables — the Info page has all the links. No need to buy your return ticket in advance — buy on the spot.
How do I find you at Sok Kwu Wan Pier?
The ticket office is right beside the pier, about one minute on foot — address: "G/F, 5 First Street, Sok Kwu Wan, Lamma Island" (search this address in maps — Google Map location). The office is the onshore meeting point; the raft is out at sea — a free shuttle boat takes about 5 minutes.
How often does the shuttle boat run?
From Sok Kwu Wan Pier, usually every 5–10 minutes (depending on the pier situation), crossing in about 5 minutes. Up to 15 people per boat trip; large groups board in batches — the return shuttle is included in your ticket at no extra cost.
How do I get from Yung Shue Wan to Sok Kwu Wan?
There is no public ferry between Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan. Two options: ① an island private sampan (from about $700 per trip, max 15 people — good for sharing); ② walk the Family Trail, about 60–90 minutes, with sea views along the way.

🕐 Opening Hours

When are you open?
Mon–Fri 10:15–17:00; Sat, Sun & public holidays 10:15–18:00. Closed on Wednesdays and Lunar New Year Day 1 (open on public holidays). Ticket-office redemption hours are 10:15–17:00.
At what age do children need a ticket?
Under 2 years old: free, no ticket needed. Tickets are adult (12–65) and concession (11 or below / 65 or above) — see the Tickets page.

🎣 Activities

What should I bring for fishing?
We're a government-licensed fishing venue. Experienced anglers are welcome to bring their own gear; beginners and visitors can choose a fishing ticket that includes tackle and bait — bring nothing at all. For an easy taste of fishing, hook-free fishing is $10 per session (with a game card) — it doesn't harm the fish and all ages can play.
Do I pay for the fish I catch?
The raft has two fishing zones: fish caught in the open-sea zone are free to take home; fish caught in the designated farming zone are charged by species — just ask staff before casting.
Is there a fishing class for beginners?
Yes! The Beginner Fishing Class runs once a month (Saturday or Sunday), about 2.5–4 hours, from $280 per person. Places are limited — check the next class dates on the Tours page and book early.
What DIY crafts are there, and how much?
DIY material packs are $40 each (seashells, kaleidoscope, wind chime, sun hat, little boat and more, updated from time to time). Advanced crafts: cha kwo making $160 and traditional salted fish making $180 per person (about 35 min, guided, take your work home, book 2 days ahead). Session times: weekdays 10:15–11:00 & 13:00–14:00; weekends & holidays 10:15–11:00, 13:30–14:30 & 16:30–17:30.
Is there anything to do when it rains?
Yes! Amber rainstorm warnings and No. 1 typhoon signals: we're basically open as usual, and indoor craft workshops run as normal — rain doesn't stop the fun. If a No. 3 or stronger signal or Red/Black rainstorm warning is in force 3 hours before assembly time, activities are automatically cancelled with free rebooking.

🍽️ Food

Is there food at the Village?
The raft serves fisherfolk lunches and snacks (about $70–$168 per person) — walk-ins only, no booking needed. For a full seafood feast, our partner Lamma Rainbow Seafood Restaurant offers sets from about $170 per person. Group dining can be arranged together with your quotation.
Is there food near the pier?
Yes! Sok Kwu Wan is a fishing village famous for seafood — within walking distance of the ticket office there are 2–3 cha chaan tengs and 4–5 seafood restaurants. For seafood we usually recommend Lamma Rainbow Seafood Restaurant — high turnover keeps the seafood fresh.

🎒 Tips

What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable non-slip shoes (for boarding and walking the raft), sun protection (hat / sunscreen) and drinking water; anglers bring their own tackle (or add a set). Bring a raincoat if the weather looks unsettled.
Does the raft sway? Will I feel seasick?
The raft is over 40,000 sq ft — out at sea, waves can make the deck move very slightly. Walking normally is perfectly safe, and many senior groups enjoy the visit. Just keep an eye on children so they don't run. Need wheelchair assistance or travelling with elderly family? Tell us in advance and we'll arrange help.
Is there insurance?
We carry public liability insurance; participants are advised to arrange their own travel insurance as needed. If you have a serious medical condition or special health needs, let us know in advance so we can make suitable arrangements.

🛍️ Souvenirs & Groups

Can I buy souvenirs online? How does shipping work?
Yes! The Souvenirs page has baked pastries, dried seafood and village specialities. Three ways to receive: ① collect on arrival — together with your tickets at the ticket office; pre-ordering guarantees stock and no queueing (recommended!); ② pick up at the Village; ③ SF Express — shipping $30, free over $300.
How do we book as a group (20+ people)?
Groups get dedicated itineraries and group rates: fill in the Group Enquiry form or WhatsApp us directly — quotes within 1–2 working days; groups of 60+ please book early.
